We are incredibly proud of our Year 3 children for completing their swimming lessons at Lymington Freedom Leisure Centre during Autumn 1 term.
Over the course of the sessions, the children have made fantastic progress in the water. For some, the biggest achievement has been building water confidence, feeling safer and more comfortable in the pool, and developing the courage to try new things. For others, the challenge has been improving technique, stamina and independence, with some children now able to swim 25 metre lengths of the pool.
Every child has had a different starting point and a different challenge, but what has been so lovely to see is the progress made by everyone. Whether it was putting their face in the water, floating independently, swimming a short distance without support, or completing a full length, each step has been important and worth celebrating.
Swimming is such a valuable life skill for our pupils. It supports Global Goal 3: Good Health and Wellbeing, helping children to be active, build confidence and develop skills that support both physical health and personal safety.
A huge thank you to the staff at Lymington Freedom Leisure Centre for their encouragement, patience and support throughout the programme. Their work has helped so many of our children become more confident, capable and positive in the water.
Well done, Year 3. We are so proud of you!
