Year 2 Library Trip:

Year 2 had a great time on their trip to Lymington Library, having fun finding out more about their local library and enjoying some time to read for pleasure!

Staff at Lymington library put on some fantastic activities for the children to enjoy - including a treasure hunt (to find famous characters and authors) as well as enjoying an exciting story time!

Pupils were shown how to use their library cards to take books out from the vast children's selection and learned how to navigate the library. They found out more about the Dewey Decimal System to select non fiction, and learned how books are sorted alphabetically by author in the fiction section.

There are many exciting events for children coming up at Lymington Library - you can find out more HERE!

All year groups will have the opportunity to visit Lymington Library this academic year (postponed visits for year groups impacted by wet weather have been re-scheduled.)

Please ensure you sign your child up for a Hampshire Libraries Card in advance. You can do so in branch, or at this link HERE.
