Visit from New Forest Catenians:

Our Head Boy, Deputy Head Boy, Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl were delighted to welcome members of the New Forest Catenians into school this week to visit our Home of Sanctuary.

We are incredibly grateful to have been chosen as the Catenians' Charity of the Year, this year! Many of you may remember that, in 2024, the New Forest Catenians generously helped to fund our beautiful Prayer Shelter, which has since developed into our much-loved Home of Sanctuary.

During their visit, they were able to see just how much the space has developed and the positive impact it is having on our school community. They were particularly impressed by the wonderful range of activities our pupils have introduced to make playtimes calm, reflective and harmonious.

These include creating Ojos de Dios (God's Eyes), mindfulness activities, art and colouring, a prayer corner, Bible story books, painting activities, and even a special 'Sanctuary' activity designed entirely by our pupils themselves.

Our Year 6 children take great pride in leading and caring for the Home of Sanctuary. They warmly welcomed our visitors, explained how the space is used, and shared why it is such an important place for prayer, reflection, creativity and friendship within our school.

The New Forest Catenians were incredibly impressed with everything our pupils have achieved and the enthusiasm and responsibility shown by our Year 6 leaders. It was wonderful to be able to share the journey of our Home of Sanctuary and to thank them once again for their generosity and ongoing support.

We look forward to continuing to develop this special space for all members of our school community.
