Prayer Leaders blog:

This week, we held our very first assembly of the half term and shared a special book called The Magnificent Thing. Together, we reflected on how, just like the character in the story, we all have something magnificent within us. Sometimes, things don’t go exactly as we planned—but each version of what is created is special and purposeful. This reminds us of the Catholic Social Teaching principle of human dignity: each person is made in God’s image and is truly precious and unique.

With this in our hearts, we have joyfully reopened our Home of Sanctuary to revisit the beautiful theme of Creation. Today, children from every year group came together to help set up and explore this sacred space during lunchtime. Our prayer leaders joined Miss Calton to lift up prayers for our school community and to thank God for the special memories we’ve shared this year. We've begun to consider weekly themes and how they link to our Whole School collective worship. Prayer leaders have begun to plan next week's activities and create a plan for the remainder of the year.  Year 4 Prayer Leaders have begun to discuss the role of 'Home of Sanctuary' warden and the succession generation as Year 6 move onto their Secondary schools. The Prayer Leaders have suggested that George R continues in his role into Year 6 and a current Year 4, soon to be Year 5 pupil, becomes elected to support and be guided in their role. This ensures that the children in these roles can support and develop each other. As we enter our final half term in our current classes, we are so proud of every child—their kindness, creativity, and all they have achieved. We look forward to another fantastic half term together and wish all our families peace, joy, and blessings in the weeks ahead.
