Year 6 blog:
Our final day from the OLSJ grown ups
Last night we had a campfire, sang songs together and roasted marshmallows! We had such a lovely last evening together. The children spent time before bed sorting their suitcases and matching pairs of socks... there has always been one lonely unclaimed sock that has become a funny joke between the children for the past two days!
The children have worked really hard on packing their own cases cleverly for their parents. They've stripped their own beds and put their sheets in the washing this morning (they said that their parents wouldn't believe their eyes!) The children have gone from being reminded about bringing a water bottle and a hat.. to waking up, dressed, teeth brushed and bedding stripped, bags packed by 8am all by themselves!
Onto 'Matrix' and vertical climbing challenge this morning. They have gone from strength to strength this week.
We've had an incredible week with them. It's been joyous to see them grow in so many ways. It is always a privilege to work with your children and this week has echoed this sentiment even further. They are looking forward to seeing you all later today and waving to you on the ferry, on our return journey. They've had a fantastic week and are ready to be reunited with their families and their own beds!
