Parent Workshops:
Pip and Pap Parent and Child Workshops
It was a pleasure to welcome parents to the first of our Pip and Pap Parent and Child Workshops!
Twice a half term, we invite parents in Year R-2 to come and join us to learn some new sounds, work on reading a decodable phonics book, answer some reading comprehension questions and create some artwork together!
Year R have just started to meet the sounds /s/, /a/, /t/, /p/ this week - and have just met the characters Pip and Pap! They made their own alien creatures together!
Year 1 have been focusing on recapping the digraphs /oi/, /ow/, and trigraphs /ear/, /air/ and /ure/. They read the story 'Clown Tricks' and made their own clown faces!
Year 2 focused on recapping their split digraphs, reading the story The Heptathlon together.
We look forward to seeing parents at our next workshop in October! All welcome - please ask at the office for more details.
