SUMMER READING CHALLENGE:

Summer is here, and that means sunshine, ice cream, and… books! Whether you're heading to the beach, chilling in your backyard, or relaxing in a cool library nook, it's the perfect time to spark your imagination and grow your love for reading.

We were very lucky to have Lymington Library come to OLSJ to launch the Summer Reading Challenge with a special assembly. You can find out more below:

The Summer Reading Challenge is a fun and engaging way to keep reading skills sharp while school’s out — but it’s not just for kids! We have challenges for every age group, from toddlers to teens, and even adults. Our goal? To make reading fun, rewarding, and a little bit magical. 

How It Works:

1. Sign Up Online or In Person
   Visit our website HERE or stop by the library to register.

2. Set Your Reading Goal
   Choose how many books, pages, or minutes you want to read this summer.

3. Track Your Progress
   Use our easy-to-fill reading log (digital or paper) to keep track of what you've read.

4. Earn Rewards
   Complete milestones to win fun prizes, badges, and raffle entries. Finish the challenge and get a special certificate — plus bragging rights.
