Summer Fete at OLSJ

What a fantastic day we had at our School Summer Fete! The sun was shining, the field was buzzing with excitement, and the whole school community came together to enjoy an afternoon full of fun, games, and fundraising.

There was something for everyone, from the bouncy castle, to the bottle-toss, to the ever-popular tombola where prizes were flying out fast! The brave among us lined up to sponge the teacher—one of the biggest hits of the day (especially with the pupils!). Thank you Mr Riste Smith for being such a good sport (again!)

We also had a creative and quirky “Blind Date with a Book” stall, where wrapped-up mystery books waited to be discovered, and a sweet guessing game with “Whose Baby Picture?”—with plenty of giggles and surprises as we matched familiar faces to their younger selves.

Our beautiful plant sale and OWWL stalls were bursting with greenery, perfect for gardeners big and small, and every year group played their part by choosing a charity to support, running their own stalls and activities to raise money for causes they care about.

Adding an extra spark to the day, the local fire service joined us too! Pupils had the chance to meet real-life firefighters and check out the fire engine!

The fair was a huge success, full of fun, laughter, and community spirit. A massive thank you to everyone who came along, helped out, donated prizes, and supported the event. We’re so proud of our pupils and grateful for the generosity shown by families and friends.
