Year 6, Day 2:

We started the day with a huge breakfast!! We had the choice of a range of cereals, toast, yoghurt AND a cooked selection of bacon, beans, hash browns, plum tomatoes and veggie sausages!

Our first activity was "Jacob’s Ladder", which required teamwork and continuous encouragement in order to climb the rungs, which became wider the higher we climbed!!!

‘Survivor’ was next! We were taught how to light fire, using flint and wool AND we built shelters using whatever we could find around us!

After lunch we learnt how to fence! Wearing protective guards and with a foil in hand, we battled against each other until there was a victorious winner!!

To end the afternoon, we then abseiled down a massive wall!! Our ‘trust’ games yesterday helped us build courage to lean back and ‘bounce’ down the wall (after climbing up first of course!!). We found this really exhilarating and were so proud when we landed safely at the foot of the wall

This evening we will be playing ‘Aeroball’ a mixture of basketball and trampolining… we can’t wait!!!!

Parents: We will keep posting updates and photos as they come through from Miss Walker and team - keep checking back regularly on both Facebook and the blog!
