Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic enrichment trip to Tudor House in Southampton this week. There, pupils toured the museum and took part in an interactive workshop, handling artefacts and exploring secondary sources about the Tudor times. This built on their recent history learning about the Princes in the Tower, the Battle of Bosworth, and the start of the Tudor dynasty. It also set the scene perfectly for their next topic on the Spanish Armada and Elizabeth I — Year 5 are quickly becoming Tudor experts! It was great fun, with pupils especially loving the opportunity to dress up in Tudor clothing and to try out the pillory and stocks!
