NSPCC Workshops:

This week, pupils in Years 2, 5 and 6 took part in a special workshop delivered by two trained members of staff from the NSPCC as part of their Speak Out, Stay Safe programme.

The workshops gave pupils an important opportunity to explore how to keep themselves safe, recognise when something might not feel right and understand who they can turn to if they ever feel worried or need help.

Through age-appropriate discussions and activities, the children explored the important message that every child has the right to feel safe. They also learnt about the importance of speaking out, identifying trusted adults and knowing that there is always someone ready to listen and help.

With the support of Buddy, the NSPCC's friendly mascot, the programme helps children approach sensitive topics in a reassuring and accessible way.

One of the key messages from the workshops was that children should never feel they have to deal with worries alone. Whether speaking to a trusted adult at home or school, or contacting Childline, there is always support available. We would like to say a huge thank you to the NSPCC team for visiting our school and delivering such valuable workshops.
