Year 2 Trip to Sea City Museum:

On Wednesday, Year 2 visited the Titanic Museum in Southampton. They started the day by taking part in activities where we thought about who would have been chosen to get into the lifeboats at that time in history. This helped us understand some of the difficult decisions people faced.

We then explored the museum and learned about Southampton’s strong connection to the Titanic, including how many crew members came from the city. 

We also discovered what life was like for passengers and compared the food and experiences in 1st, 2nd and 3rd class. We had a fantastic time and are excited to apply what we have learned in our future lessons - especially on our school Titanic Day on Friday!
