Year 4 blog:

Last week, Year 4 had the very exciting opportunity to travel back in time and were able to immerse themselves in life as a Roman. There were an array of outstanding costumes varying from gladiators, emperors, soldiers and scholars. During the day, the children looked closely at exactly who the Romans were and the reasons they decided to invade Brittania. They analysed the rebellious Boudicca and thought about her leadership qualities and why she was a significant figure during this period. The children also found the Roman's battle formations and tactics fascinating and this gave them a deeper understanding of why the Romans were such a successful and impactful civilization.
