Music Fest:
Our recent Music Fest was a tremendous success and a wonderful celebration of all the musical learning that has taken place throughout the year.
A huge thank you goes to Showcase for organising such a fantastic event, particuarly to Mr Ibbott, Mr Deverell and Mr Pope. The children had the opportunity to perform the music they have been learning in their weekly lessons led by Showcase in our PD days; and they rose to the occasion brilliantly.
Year R delighted the audience with their beautiful singing, while Years 1 and 2 proudly demonstrated their growing recorder skills. Year 3 impressed everyone with their trumpet performances, Year 4 showcased their ukulele talents, and Year 5 brought energy and excitement with their drumming. Year 6 rounded off the performances with an ensemble piece that they had prepared and planned themselves.
We would also like to give special congratulations to Izaak, who performed a beautiful trumpet solo and to Matthew, who wowed the audience with an outstanding percussion performance on the drums. Both children demonstrated great confidence and musicianship.
There was lots of singing, lots of fun and plenty of smiles throughout the event. It was a fantastic way to celebrate the importance of music in our school and the progress our children have made throughout the year.
One of the most exciting aspects of the day was the opportunity for the children to perform alongside a real orchestra and band. They loved sharing the stage with professional musicians and seeing skilled performers play their instruments live.
Thank you once again to Showcase for organising such a memorable event and for the excellent music tuition they provide throughout the year. We are incredibly proud of all our young musicians and the enthusiasm, dedication and confidence they showed during their performances. We hope you enjoyed the show!
