As part of their writing unit on portals, Year 6 visited the Mayflower Theatre to see The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

The children were captivated as they stepped into Narnia alongside Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter, experiencing the magic, danger and adventure of this much-loved story. The staging and costumes were incredible! Aslan the Lion was an absolute highlight - an amazing blend of puppetry and costume that truly brought the character to life, whilst we all gasped as the White Witch was lifted high above our heads as part of the performance!

Back in school, our pupils will begin planning their own magical journeys through portals as part of our new writing unit; full of imaginative worlds and brave new heroes.

Year 6 were an absolute credit to the school, with other schools commenting on their beautiful behaviour in the theatre. Well done Year 6!
