Eneless Patmos School, Zambia: Update

We were delighted to receive this wonderful video from Eneless Patmos Community School in Lusaka, Zambia, showing children receiving school uniform donated by OLSJ and supported by our school Governor, Roger Maughn.

Our friendship with Eneless Patmos has grown over several years. We have previously donated uniform, exchanged pen-pal letters between pupils and raised funds to help the school purchase additional land so that it can expand its facilities and support even more children.

Many pupils at the school have experienced significant hardship, so these uniforms mean far more than simply having the right clothes for school. They give children a sense of dignity, identity and belonging and help them feel proud to be part of their school community.

Eneless wrote to us:

“To us, these are not just uniforms or pieces of clothing. They represent hope, dignity, love and a brighter future for these children. Your kindness has reminded them that there are people who care about them and believe in their future. We are so grateful that God connected Our Lady & St Joseph Catholic School with Eneless Patmos Community School. Your support means more to us than words can express.”

This partnership reflects our mission to become Architects of a Better World and links closely to the Global Goals, particularly Quality Education, Reduced Inequalities and Partnerships for the Goals. It also brings Catholic Social Teaching to life through dignity, solidarity and service.

We are so excited to share this video with our children in assembly and show them that kindness, generosity and active service can make a real difference — even thousands of miles away.
