Year 5 blog:

Year 5 had a wonderful time on Victorian Day! All the children came in in brilliant outfits from Queen Victoria herself to chimney sweeps, we had it all! We transformed our class into a Victorian
classroom; looked at the rules Victorian children had to follow and throughout the day as we
experienced lessons how Victorian children would have experienced them. We explored some
genuine Victorian artefacts generously loaned from St Barbe museum and discussed what they were and their uses. In the afternoon, we explored the impact of the new railways and wrote in role as a Victorian about how it would affect our lives. It was a fabulous day travelling back in time!
