Gardening club:

We have been busy watering, weeding and checking on the growth of lots of the plants we have growing around the school grounds so far this term! Our polytunnel also got a much needed new cover which gave us the opportunity to clear out all of the old and damaged items and organise it ready for growing lots more plants! We worked really well as a team to sort it out. We have also started to make our very own bean igloo! We plotted out where we were going to make it, dug out holes in preparation and made an obelisk/tepe! We then enriched the soil and planted runner beans! We’re looking forward to watching the bean grow and then to be able to enjoy our new hideout. We have also been sneakily fooling the birds by painting rocks red which will hopefully deter them from munching on our strawberries before we get the chance to gobble them up!
