Year R - Parent and child workshop

Year R pupils and parents very much enjoyed their Pip and Pap Phonics workshop together today, reading Orange Phase Book 12 - The Pink Pot!

They recapped the letter-sound correspondences /g/ /o/ /c/ and /k/ before reading the book together.

Children sounded out words such as 'pink,' 'pot,' 'pop', 'tag' and 'cap' as part of their learning. Then they made their own flower pots, like the one in the story! Aren't they lovely?
