Football Update. Feb 2020.

OLSJ U.11 Girls 5 - 1 Springhill U.11 Girls

OLSJ Under 11 girls team had their first outing of the year, with the new look team consisting of many debutants. What a team they were, dominating the early phases of play and were unlucky not to take an early lead. However, it didn't take much longer for the deadlock to be broken, with Lillie's excellent dribbling and shooting allowing the side to take a well deserved lead. Their lead was shortly doubled, with Lillie scoring another fine goal, before Springhill showed great resistance to pull a goal back, and put themselves back in the game.

Hannah, Zoe L and Megan were fantastic at the back, and soon put a stop to any further Springhill danger! Debutants Hannah, Zoe G, Frankie and Evie made excellent tackles in midfield and were able to create many attacking opportunities for OLSJ. Rose, although not particularly troubled by the opposition today, was fantastic when called upon in goal, making a few good saves!

The second half saw OLSJ dominate and stretch their lead with two further goals from Lillie and a fantastic strike from Aimee! Great spirit and a fantastic team ethos was shown throughout the game by both sides. Well done OLSJ girls on your first win of 2020!
