Year 3 blog:

The wider school had a wonderful visit back in time today, watching Year 3’s Ancient Egyptian Dress-Up Day and assembly! It was fantastic to see the children fully embrace the theme, arriving in an array of impressive costumes! Their creativity and enthusiasm truly brought history to life.

The assembly was packed with fascinating facts, clearly showing how much the children have learned during their history topic. We were treated to insights about the importance of the River Nile, how it provided water, food, transport and fertile land for farming. The children confidently taught the audience about mummification, hieroglyphics, Tutankhamun and the pyramids!

The highlight was the children’s brilliant performance of “Walk Like an Egyptian.” Their energy, enthusiasm and impressive dance moves had everyone smiling! It was a joyful and memorable way to celebrate their learning.

Well done, Year 3!
