Year 5 blog:
Year 5 had an unforgettable adventure last at the Winchester Science Centre! Linking perfectly with our science curriculum on Space, the children experienced an overnight stay like no other.
From the moment we arrived, excitement was "out of this world!" After a warm welcome and safety briefing, the children explored the hands-on exhibits around the centre, including the sonic rocket and giant guitar!
A hot chocolate and cookie break made the evening feel extra special before we settled in for the night. It was great fun sleeping amongst the exhibits!
The next morning, we watched a very special Planetarium film show. Watching planets, stars, and galaxies swirl around us was magical, and helped us learn more about the Solar System, complementing our learning in Science.
We were delighted to share this experience with our peers from Sinclair and Mansel Park Primary - many of us made a new friend! It truly was a night to remember, packed with learning, laughter, and plenty of science magic!
