OWWL blog:

Another wet one this week! It won’t stop us from having fun in our OWWL sessions though! We got stuck in with a mixture of activities today. We weeded in our beds, we applied our knot skills in den building, we constructed propagators and we planted LOTS of seeds ready for spring planting later in the term! We tried out a new method of planting which uses less resources, takes up less space, repurposes single use plastic and should hopefully ensure the roots of the plants aren’t too disturbed when transplanted outside later on! We planted a total of 80 seeds in half a tray! These innovative ideas link to Global Goals 9, 11 and 12! We also planted aubergines (our first time growing them at OLSJ) and set them up in the propagators to give them a head start!
