Eco School:

"We'll dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig, dig the whole day through..." We emulated the seven dwarfs from Snow White with our digging skills! We redistributed the soil in several of our new planting beds among the others that weren't already filled - it was some big muscle work! Next, we plan to enrich the beds with compost and sand too to help with filtration as we discovered that the soil is currently very clay based and clumpy. It was a fantastic workout and great for developing our gross motor skills even further.

We had SOOOO much fun raking the grass in readiness to use as mulch for our plants and to add to our compost heap. We chose to make one giant heap and proceeded to jump over it! What a great way to celebrate all the hard work!

Tee-pees! We were challenged with the task of working in teams to make tee-pee structures in preparation of the plants that we are planting that will need to climb. We concentrated hard and communicated well with each other to construct these conical structures! Looking forward to seeing the plants grow on them soon!
