Pip and Pap Phonics Workshop

In this week's workshop, Miss Cassar, Year R pupils and their parents read the book "The Rat!"

This book focuses on the grapheme-phoneme correspondences /ck/ /e/ /u/ and /r/, which children have previously met in their phonics study.

Children practised sounding out and blending words such as "rat," "stick," "rests," "sun," "stuck," "gets" and "sprints!"

They then made their very own 'rat' finger puppet together!
