Year R Pip and Pap Workshop

Year R parents and pupils read Orange Phase Book 20, "The Rabbit" today, which focused on the grapheme-phoneme correspondences /h/ /b/ /f/ /ff/ /l/ /ll/ /ss/ and other double consonants.

Children were able to sound out and blend words such as 'rabbit', 'grass', 'hops', 'snacks', 'lost' and 'licks' today, as part of the story.

Then, pupils and parents made their own little rabbits, using their handprints that they had cut out and adjusted the fingers, to make ears and arms for their creature!
