Year 4 Lymington Library Trip

Year 4 (and the staff!) had a fantastic time at Lymington Library today!

Pupils were introduced to both the fiction and non fiction section and the different systems to find books (numerical and alphabetical.) Then the children had a scavenger hunt, where they had to solve riddles to find different books and find out about the different shelves and sections within the library.

All children then had time to choose a book, read, relax and enjoy it! Children then learned how to 'check out' their book to bring back to school!

Thank you to Lymington Library for coordinating such a superb visit.

All pupils in Year 1-6 will be visiting Lymington Library this half term. Please ensure you have signed your child up for a Hampshire County Council library card, at https://www.hants.gov.uk/librariesandarchives/library/membership/jointhelibrary so that your child can fully enjoy the experience. Please note that these cards can be used across all Hampshire Libraries. Books taken out at Lymington Library can also be returned to New Milton - your child can still take a book out on the trip, even if Lymington is not their regular library.
