Remembrance Day. Nov 2021.
Year 6 laid wreaths at St Mark's Church in Pennington today, alongside children from Pennington Infant and Junior School and members of the local community. We took part in a minute of silence and heard prayers read by Reverend Rachel Noel. Those who have lost their lives in war were part of our thoughts and prayers as we laid our wreath and poppies.
On their return from St. Mark's, Year 6 also took part in a virtual assembly from the Blue Cross, where they learned about the role that animals played in war. We wear a purple poppy to remember animals who died in conflict. Thank you to those at Blue Cross for a very special assembly.
