EYFS Pip and Pap Parent Workshop:

Year R parents joined their children today for another Pip and Pap Workshop, this time reading Orange Phase Book 21 "Tennis" together!

The book focuses on the grapheme-phoneme correspondences /h/ /b/ /f/ /l/ /ff/ /ll/ /ss/ and other double consonants. Children were able to sound out and blend words such as "bus", "huffs", "lesson," "press", "fun," and "cross" as part of the session. They read sentences such as "Pock stomps off in a huff!" and "The black bag is on the bus!"

Pupils and parents then worked together to make their own tennis rackets with paper plates - aren't they fantastic?
