Year 5 Maths Challenge
Last week, our Year 5 pupils had an exciting opportunity to visit Priestlands School for a fantastic Maths Challenge. The day was packed with fun and brain-busting activities designed to test their mental maths skills, reasoning abilities, and teamwork.
The challenges included quick-fire mental maths questions that really got their brains working, reasoning puzzles that made them think outside the box, and hands-on team tasks like building a sweet and spaghetti bridge—a creative and fun challenge that required both teamwork and problem-solving.
Although we didn’t come away with the winning trophy this time, we couldn’t be prouder of our team. They showed great determination, impressive maths knowledge, and fantastic collaboration throughout the day. The experience was a wonderful chance to learn and grow together, and we’re excited to see what our brilliant mathematicians will achieve next!
Well done to all our Year 5 pupils for representing us so brilliantly at Priestlands!
