Science & Geography Update

All of our classes have been busy with learning about the natural world this half term as part of our Science, Geography and Eco work.

Y2 had some very exciting news on Wednesday - 5 duck eggs arrived in an incubator! We will be learning to care for the ducklings when they hatch as part of our Science work. The children were very excited to set up the brooder! Watch this space for more updates.

Y6 had a visitor from St Barbe's Museum in Lymington for a very special 'fossils' workshop to complement their work on Evolution. The children learned more about natural selection, adaptation and how fossils show changes in the earth. It was great fun and very interactive! There were many hands-on activities with real fossil specimens. We also found out about how our local area is important in the 'fossil world' - we are not far from the Jurassic Coast!

All of KS2 had a workshop with CARITAS this week, following our community planting event. Take a look at Year 4 having fun learning about biodiversity with Zach and Phil.
