Poetry Club
Poetry Club have been working exceptionally hard - having now learned a third poem for consideration by the "Poetry By Heart" panel. Each pupil has learned a poem from pre 1914, to accompany their group freestyle poem and poem from post 1914.
Do take a look at the attached videos - their performances are just lovely. We are so proud of our pupils' hard work to learn the poems by heart and to perform them in front of their peers. They have worked hard on these poems over a number of weeks - critiquing and coaching each other in their delivery. They have also worked very hard at home to learn the words by heart.
We will be sending off our entries this week to the Poetry By Heart panel - with winning entries being selected to perform at the finals at The Globe Theatre in London. We have all of our fingers and toes crossed that an OLSJ pupil might be selected, but we have had great fun sharing our love of poetry together as part of the club.
