Year R Pip and Pap Parent Workshop

Year R parents and pupils read the story "Mas and Nin," together in their workshop, focusing on the grapheme-phoneme correspondences /g/ /o/ 'c' and /k/. The book tells the story of alien dog 'Mas' and alien cat 'Nin!'

Pupils taught parents the sounds and sounded out and blended words such as "stop," "cat," "dog," "cot," and "tips" as part of the story.

Then, they made their own cat or dog together, using paper plates and craft materials! Aren't they fantastic?
