Whipsnade Zoo. Mar 2021.

We all enjoyed a virtual visit from Whipsnade Zoo today, to support us in our science learning! A big thank you to Samantha and her team who Zoomed in to our classrooms from Whipsnade for a very exciting virtual learning experience.

Year 1/2 learned about different ways to classify animals and used scientific vocabulary to identify a variety of animals! Year 3/4 learned about animal life cycles, considering the different cycles of amphibians, insects and birds, whilst Year 5/6 focused their learning on inheritance  and how that leads to the evolution of adaptations (through natural selection.)

We also got to ask lots of questions about zookeeping and life at the zoo. But best of all... we also got to meet the giraffes! Thank you Whipsnade Zoo!
