Year 6 blog:
This week, our Year 6 pupils led a beautiful World War II assembly, sharing their learning with confidence and pride. Dressed in wonderful WWII themed costumes, they brought history to life through their readings that they had prepared and through sharing their poetry work.
After the assembly, the children visited Belmore Lodge Care Home where they read the heartfelt war poetry they had written to the residents. Together, they joined in the two minute silence, honouring those who served and reflecting on the importance of peace.
It was a truly moving experience filled with respect, empathy and community spirit. We are so proud of our Year 6 pupils for their thoughtfulness and the beautiful way they shared their learning.
