Visit from the Mayor:

Visit from the Mayor of Lymington & Pennington

We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Lymington and Pennington to our school this week! The children were so excited to meet him and had prepared plenty of thoughtful questions about his work, our local community and how decisions are made for the town.

The Mayor spent time touring our PD Day activities and speaking to children about their lessons and learning. Our Year 6 pupil leaders enjoyed showcasing the school to Cllr Colm McCarthy and explaining how they help to lead initiatives and their parent parliament groups, that make a real difference both in school and beyond. Cllr Colm was very impressed with the school's outreach work and our contributions to our community, such as produce donations to New Forest Basics Bank, artwork to Belmore Lodge and story writing at Lymington Library.

As part of his visit, the Mayor discussed ideas with the pupils about future ways the school can be involved in local community projects. Watch this space - some exciting initiatives are coming up soon!
