EYFS Pip and Pap Workshop

Early Years were full of the joys of Spring as part of our Pip and Pap parent workshop this week! 

Pupils read Pip and Pap Orange Phase Book 20 "The Rabbit" with their parents, before answering questions about the story. Then, parents and pupils made their own happy, hoppy rabbits together! Aren't they just lovely?

The book focused on the letter-sound correspondences /h/, /b/, /f/, /ff/, /l/, /ll/ and /ss/. Pupils were able to read sentences to their parents, such as "The rabbit hops off," and "A carrot in the bucket," with beautiful fluency and expression.

We run Pip and Pap Phonics workshops for EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2, linked to our phonics phases of study, every other week at OLSJ. Our workshops are great fun - if you would like to attend, speak to your child's class teacher for more information!
