Social Justice Conference

A small selection of Year 6 children, from Holy Family and Our Lady and St Joseph, had the incredible opportunity to attend and participate in the first ever social justice conference, hosted by Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School. During the conference, the children listened to key speakers (including the extremely inspirational Raymond Friel) about the importance of social justice and how we need to promote justice for all. Our children collaborated with children from a range of different schools to discuss how we can be ‘agents of change’ and what we can do to be the best versions of ourselves. The children then worked in their school teams to come up with ideas for new initiatives to take back to our schools to discuss what we could do to help those less fortunate.

It was a wonderful day full of faith and hope and all of the children represented our schools with great enthusiasm and thoughtfulness.
