Year 6 blog:
On Monday Year 6 gathered in excitement to watch a live performance of Macbeth, one of Shakespeare's most famous tragedies. With the play being part of their English curriculum, this experience brought the classic tale of ambition, guilt, and fate to life in an entirely new way.
Instead of simply reading the text in class, they saw the characters come to life—Lady Macbeth’s ruthless ambition, Macbeth’s gradual descent into madness, and the eerie predictions of the witches.
As the children watched the drama unfold, they could better grasp the emotional weight of the story and its themes. Year 6 were visibly captivated. The witches’ prophecies, Macbeth’s internal struggle, and the final tragic consequences kept everyone on the edge of their seats.
