Year 5 - Virtual STEM Visit - RAF

Year 5 took part in a virtual workshop organised by The Smallpeice Trust - which was led by the Royal Air Force Youth STEM team!

Pupils were led by members of the RAF in an exciting workshop where children learned more about aviation and careers in the Royal Air Force.

They also built their own straw rockets that they had to propel and launch! Year 5 learned about key terms such as propulsion, energy, fuselage and fins whilst making their rockets. They then had a competition to see which rocket travelled the furthest! It was great fun!
