Year 5- Oakhaven

Year 5 had a busy day today, not only completing their 'Big Lent Walk' in Rhinefield, but also going to Oakhaven to support at the hospice.

The children spoke to the different residents, who told them stories - one of whom had met the Pope! They also found out more about some of the equipment used at Oakhaven to support the residents - one of the staff members demonstrated the hoist to the group. Pupils also put their art skills to good use again today, creating an absolutely fabulous piece of interactive artwork!

Thank you so much to Oakhaven Hospice for giving our pupils some lovely gifts to remember their visit by - torches and badges, plus some reading books about the Victorians for school, which is our current History topic.
