Year R Ugly Bug Ball:
Year R had a wonderful time at the “Ugly Bug Ball” as part of their outdoor learning and science topic all about minibeasts and life cycles. Over the past few weeks, the children have been learning about life cycles and observing real caterpillars in school, which will eventually emerge as beautiful butterflies!
Pupils came to school dressed as their favourite minibeasts and we were delighted to see so many fantastic costumes! The children loved sharing facts about their chosen creature and taking part in a range of exciting activities linked to our learning. As part of the day, pupils went on a minibeast hunt, made clay butterflies, designed bug hotels and made paper-plate minibeasts! It was a wonderful day, full of fun! Well done Year R!
