Year R Parent Workshop:

Year R parents and pupils have been reading 'Gop the Pig' together in their Pip and Pap Phonics workshop!

In this story, they focused on the letter-sound correspondences /g/ /o/ /c/ and /k/, enabling them to read words such as 'stop', 'pig', 'Gop', 'cop' and 'sink'. They were also able to read simple sentences such as 'Gop can not stop!' and 'Not in the pot, Gop!'

Then, they made their own 'Gop the pig' out of a paper plate and tissue paper. Aren't they lovely?
