Author Webinar:

Year 3 and 4 were thrilled to attend a special webinar hosted by the wonderful Jenny McLachlan, author of the much-loved book The Land of Roar.

As The Land of Roar is one of our key texts in Year 4, this was an especially exciting opportunity! The children were delighted to hear directly from Jenny about where her ideas came from, and how she developed such memorable characters. It was fascinating to learn about her writing process and the inspiration behind the story.

Jenny shared insights into her journey as an author, encouraged the children to use their imaginations boldly, and reminded them that stories can begin with the simplest ideas. The pupils loved hearing behind-the-scenes details about the book.

The webinar has inspired our young writers, and we are sure it will spark even more creativity in our classrooms. A huge thank you to Jenny McLachlan for such an engaging and motivating session and to the Hampshire Library Services for organising this exciting opportunity.
