Remembrance Day:
This week in OWWL, we used our learning from last half term to make special Remembrance crosses. We worked collaboratively to make some "Ojo de Dios" (God’s Eye) to add colour to our crosses, to represent poppies, having practised this skill in OWWL in October.
We created our crosses using natural resources we found on the ground and added wool for our Remembrance theme. We used red wool to represent the poppies for people and soldiers and purple wool to represent the poppies for animals who also served.
Each year group added more wool onto the work from the year group before, making it a true collaborative effort that symbolised unity and Remembrance across our school.
We have also been asked to create some further crosses and Ojo de Dios for our parish church, Our Lady of Mercy and St Joseph!
