School Council:
This term, our School Council has been hard at work making sure every pupil’s voice is heard, starting with a survey to collect opinions on school lunches. Our dedicated Year 6 School Councillors have played a vital role in analyzing the survey data and considering the all-important question: "What’s next?"
One of their key projects has been collecting and examining data on which lunch options are most and least popular. This will provide valuable insights to help shape future menu choices and ensure that everyone can enjoy their lunchtime experience.
In addition to this, the School Council has been proactive in addressing misconceptions about school lunches and brainstorming creative ways to enhance lunchtimes. They’ve already proposed some fantastic ideas, such as trialing music during lunch, introducing a music suggestion box, and offering reading activities in the hall. These initiatives aim to create a more enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere for everyone.
Looking ahead, the School Council is also working on longer-term projects. They are currently gathering evidence and conducting research to support their ideas, which they will present to the school leadership team in the near future.
Well done to our School Council for your dedication and hard work! You are making a real difference by ensuring every voice is heard and helping to improve our school community.
