Easter Mass
A big well done to our Worship Leaders who led Mass today. They all read absolutely beautifully.
As part of their work with Fr David and Linda Guilding to prepare the Mass, our Worship Leaders wrote some beautiful prayers to deliver.
They are too beautiful not to share with our wider school community - please see below.
Prayer 1:
Let us pray for strength and courage to surround those who are struggling at the moment and that they will feel your peace upon them.
We pray for God’s protection over countries experiencing devastation, such as Turkey and Syria. We pray that you will provide courage to those who have lost loved ones and replace their hurt with strength to help them continue on their journey.
Please provide courage and strength to everyone who is struggling with life throughout our world and guide them along the path of peace and fulfilment.
Lord in your mercy - Hear our prayer
Prayer 2:
Heavenly Father, we pray for all the people who are ill, injured or unwell, please give them the strength and hope to overcome this difficult time and guide them along the path to health and happiness.
We pray that we are enveloped in your love and care throughout this difficult time and that their suffering is short lived before the bright sun of health and positivity smothers them with happiness and love.
Lord in your mercy – Hear our prayer
Prayer 3:
Dear Lord, we pray for our world to be cared for and for everybody in it to respect everything which you created ensuring that we, and our wildlife have a beautiful home to live in and leave for future generations.
We also ask for you to guide others to respect their neighbours lives through kind actions, thoughtful words, care and love.
We ask you Lord – Hear our prayer.
Prayer 4:
Heavenly Father, please show those who have wandered along the wrong path that it is never too late to turn around and start a new journey onto the right road.
Please help them to realise that they don’t need motivation to speed them up along this path, but educate them to change direction.
We can’t always see where the road leads but there is always something better up ahead, we must trust in you Lord to show us the way.
Lord in your Mercy – Hear our prayer.
Prayer 5:
O Lord God. Let us pray for peace where there is conflict, as there is in Syria and Ukraine. Please help to support and guide these countries along the dark path of peace, towards the sunrise of hope.
Lord, please help us to forget our silly squabbles and guide us to a peaceful outcome through discussions and understanding.
We need people to recognise that everyone has different opinions, accept these and continue on our own path of tranquillity.
Lord in your Mercy – Hear our prayer.
Prayer 6:
Dear God.
Thank you for looking after us and our wonderful school.
Thank you that you love each and every one of us here.
Please help us to learn, share and play together with harmony and love, so that we can help the wonderful world which you have created, become more beautiful every day.
Please guide us to talk things through if we have worries and listen to others too. Help us to show love, kindness and friendship in all we do, to whoever we meet.
We welcome, with open arms new members to our community and envelop them with our warmth and care,
Lord in your mercy – Hear our prayer.
Prayer 7:
Dear God. We would like your help to protect those who have died.
May you always walk in sunshine and God’s love around you flow.
Please our lord, love our family as we loved them.
Lord in your mercy – Hear our prayer.
