Year 5 Lymington Library Trip

Year 5 had a fantastic time at Lymington Library today!

They took part in a workshop where they were shown how to use the library - exploring the Dewey Decimal system and navigating the different shelves.

The children had a scavenger hunt, where they had to solve riddles to find different books. Each book had a letter - which then spelt out a word at the end!

All children then had time to choose a book, read, relax and enjoy it! Children then learned how to 'check out' their book to bring back to school!

Thank you to Louise at Lymington Library for coordinating such a superb visit. We also received a phone call from a member of the public to share how beautifully behaved and polite our children were, which made us so very proud!

All pupils in Year 1-6 will be visiting Lymington Library this half term. Please ensure you have signed your child up for a library card, at https://www.hants.gov.uk/librariesandarchives/library/membership/jointhelibrary so that your child can fully enjoy the experience.
